Conference in Anthropology

Annual AGSU Conference in Anthropology

About the Conference
Over the past 19 years, the Anthropology Graduate Student Union has sponsored an annual research symposium held each spring. The purpose of the symposium is to highlight the research of undergraduate and graduate students in anthropology at the University of New Mexico. The 15th Annual AGSU Symposium in the spring of 2011 was opened up to all departments at UNM and grew to include an unprecedented number of presenters and attendees. The symposium also highlights lectures by graduate student in the Butler Award  Award Lecture, as well as special guest speakers.  In the spring of 2012, the 16th annual symposium transformed into the AGSU Conference in Anthropology to accommodate a growing number of presenters and attendees.  The conference included five keynote speakers, several panels, and skills workshops.  AGSU looks forward to bringing another successful conference to you in Spring 2015!

The Spring 2015 Conference
The Spring 2015 Conference in Anthropology will be held on Friday-Saturday April 3-4, 2015 in the Hibben Center on UNM's Main Campus.  It will be free and open to the public.
